Tetrault is in his second campaign in Port Huron and tenth season as a professional. He is serving as assistant captain for the second consecutive season. Last season, he quickly established himself as one of the top defensemen in the league with a +21 rating and 37 points (8g, 29a) in 70 games, which tied him for the team lead in points among blue-liners. Of his points,four goals and 15 assists came on the power play.
A fourth round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Tetrault played five seasons of junior hockey with the WHL Brandon Wheat Kings before he turned professional in the 2000-01 season with the Austin IceBats. In the 2001-02 season, he again skated with the IceBats and was named Most Outstanding Defenseman in the Central Hockey League.
The 29-year old native of La Broquerie, Manitoba, Canada next had stints in the American Hockey League and the East Cost Hockey League, before returning to Austin in the 2003-04 season and serving as player/assistant coach. He then continued his career in the Central Hockey League, playing parts of two seasons with the New Mexico Scorpions and three years with the Wichita Thunder.
